CHIEF ACCOUNTANT POSITION

REQUIREMENTS

·  General responsibility for finance function of the company;

·  Management of finance and accounting department, participation in hiring of accounting staff (1-2 accountants, depending on scale of business and level of insourcing of accounting and reporting processes);

·  Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and oodji Group requirements for accounting and reporting;

·  Advising on and setting up the company’s accounting software and charts, financial and management reporting;

·  Development of accounting and budget control policies and procedures;

·  Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports according to oodji Group and local requirements;

·  Advising and assisting Management in forming and adhering to the local budget according to group guidelines;

·  Setting up, maintaining and of internal control environment, processes and procedures in coordination with external accounting firm;

·  Advising on the improvement of financial management system, the use of financial management software, the medium-term and program budgeting;

·  Management of accounting and financial reporting processes and overseeing external accounting firm with further insourcing of accounting processes subject to management decision:

o  Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports;

o  Monthly fiscal closing process including closing journal entries and bank reconciliations in a timely and highly accurate manner;

o  Classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with accepted local accounting principles and oodji Group reporting standards;

o  Maintaining accurate and up to date records of all financial transactions;

o  Manage inventory and COGS accounting, ensuring reconciliation of inventory accounts with underlying systems and reports including logistic provider’s WMS system, oodji Group ERP system, marketplace sale management systems and reports;

o  Book revenue from different sales channels and ensuring reconciliation of sales accounts with underlying systems and reports including e-commerce system, oodji Group ERP system, marketplace sale management systems and reports;

o  Payroll calculation and accounting;

o  Fixed assets accounting and reconciliation with fixed assets ledger;

o  Cash flow accounting and reconciliation of bank statements;

·  Review and sign off of monthly general ledger accounts reconciliation and research any discrepancies;

·  Setting up and control of accounting document flow process between management, third parties, oodji Group companies, accounting staff  and external accounting firm to ensure completeness of accounting records

·  Supervising the day-to-day accounting, payments of invoices and vendor bills and compilation of all supporting documentation;

·  Communication with external and internal (group) auditors;

·  Other financial management duties assigned by the CEO and group finance department;

·  Management of tax reporting processes and overseeing external CPA firm to ensure timeliness, accuracy and compliance of tax reporting including:

o  In conjunction with outside accounting firm / CPA firm and management, create and oversee a plan for entering new states and maintaining compliance with state and local tax issues;

o  Timely registration, filing and payment of federal and state taxes;

o  Relations with tax authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS 

·  BS/BA in accounting/finance; ACCA a plus;

·  3 years of experience in a senior/chief accountant role;

·  Experience in a high-volume e-commerce environment, especially as conducted on online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and others;

·  Detailed knowledge of Czech tax code as it applies specifically to an e-commerce apparel company, understanding of European VAT regulations regarding distant sales;

·  Inventory or stock accounting experience a must;

·  Proficiency with SO9 (and/or other accounting software), Excel and other Office Suite applications;
